What if you had your own social network site? What would be your theme(s)?
Would it be like Myspace, Facebook, or BlackPlanet?
I honestly don't think I would want to create a site like either. I'm not knocking them, but I'd come up with something less fun. A poetry site. That's what I like to do, writing. IDK...lol...I just thought of that so I thought I would blog about it just now....I am a really big fan of poetry.com.

This idea has probably already been done a thousand times, but I would love to take Visual Bookshelf from Facebook and expand it into its own site. I love discussing novels, getting ideas from my peers, and spending time with those who love literature as much as I do.
Maybe I should try out ning.com...
I know what you mean, I could easily pick out flaws in MySpacem Facebook, etc., but if I had to create my own it wouldn't come close to those sites!
Speaking of their flaws though, I asked some of my co-workers (most of whom have MySpace accounts) what they think the flaws are of these sites and all of them brought up security and advertising. One girl said she repeatedly gets requests from businesses in our area, like bars, Mary Kay ladies, and Avon, to be "friends".

I agree with you. I love writing and poetry websites, also photography, so its stands to reason that a social network for others with the same interests would be right up my alley. Lately, I've been thinking about find ing one and joining it.
